The girl behind the lens

Hey there- I'm Devereux... but everyone calls me Devon!

Born and raised in Massachusetts, I was always the kid taking photos of my friends for fun, making little creative projects out of everything, and caring wayyy too much about how a moment felt. When I was 15, a friend asked me to take their senior photos, and that was the first time I realized photography could be more than just something I loved doing. It slowly became the thing I kept coming back to.

More than 11 years later, I still feel that same heart tug toward photographing people in a way that feels real. I don’t want your photos to feel stiff, overly posed, or like they could belong to anyone else. I want them to feel like you!

My goal is simple: storytelling in a way that feels natural, meaningful, and full of life. I want to create images that bring you right back to how it all felt, even years from now.

I think the things I love outside of photography probably say a lot about the way I see the world... I’m really close with my family, I’ve had the same best friends since I was 5, and most of my favorite days are spent with them, at home with Jake (my boyfriend of 6 years) or hanging out with our orange cat, Honey.

I’ve always been drawn to things with a little history and a lot of heart: old houses, antique stores, thrifted finds, coffee shops, music, traveling somewhere new, wandering through historic streets, and anything that feels like it has a story behind it.

And that same draw shows up in the way I photograph, too. I'm always looking for the feeling, the story, and the little details that make something worth remembering.

My PHILOSOPHY

PHOTOS SHOULD FEEL LIKE YOU LIVED THEM...

...NOT LIKE YOU POSED FOR THEM

I want each person’s photos to feel like stills from their favorite movie- moments that feel natural, but intentionally framed. I offer guidance where it matters, then step back and let things unfold.

I believe

In Storytelling
In SoftnesS
In ImperfectioN
